Liverpool's Sturridge out until September after hip surgery

Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge is likely out until
September following hip surgical procedure, manager B
rendan Rodgers said Friday.
The England international had the operation in the United States on
Tuesday & now faces a rehabilitation program which sidelines him
until the early parts of next season.
"It's a timeframe out, but we are hopeful the issues & issues
he is had have been resolved with the operation," Rodgers said. "Now
they can recover & hopefully get back as quick as they possibly can.
"We're anticipating it is going to be around September before they can
actually start training & then it is about getting his fitness up."
Sturridge, 25, has been limited to 18 games in an injury-plagued
season, scoring goals.
"He has been a large miss to us this season, but let's hope they can get
back fit & help contribute for the club," Rodgers said.
